Le Nom de la rose est un roman de l'Italien Umberto Eco, paru en 1980. Ce roman peut être qualifié comme un policier médiéval. Il reçoit le prix Médicis étranger en 1982. Il a été adapté au cinéma par Jean-Jacques Annaud en 1986, avec Sean Connery dans le rôle principal.
